Mushroom Party is an approximately two-man opertation behind Mushroom Crusher Extreme, a retro-styled arcade-action game.

History

Mushroom Party was formed to realize Mushroom Crusher Extreme, a game first conceived way back in the 2011 Global Game Jam. Ever since then, different versions of MCE have been worked on by different team formations made up of game development students of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. Whenever there was a chance, be it project studies or work practice, the game was pushed forward to the direction most appropriate at the times. The sporadic development was finally kicked into full steam, when in 2015, a local game company Team Jolly Roger offered the workspace and publishing help to bring the project to its conclusion. In Spring 2016 the game successfully passed through Steam Greenlight, gaining support of the community. From October 2016, the still-in-development MCE was released on Steam Early Access, finding its first fans in wide world. From a simple jam game to a story driven experience to finally a fun arcade-style action game, Mushroom Crusher Extreme is now at last out of Early Access and fully launched on Steam!
